  I built a new base but my upgrades are grayed out?

  You don't have any upgrades available to use. Do some scans to get upgrades.

  All I'm doing is scans, I have resources, but how can I put them towards building upgrades?

  Resources automatically get used when you select an upgrade to build.

  Have you gotten anything like Comand Centers from scanning? That's an upgrade.

  I gotta be scanning, to get upgrades!! No I have to scan and HOPE I get upgrades. Last guy to tell me hope was good a thing, turned out it was all a scam.

  Yes, you get all upgrades from scanning.

  Zoom out in scan mode. You probably have tons sitting outside your immediate area, that's where mine were
