    Everyone is racist. It's a social disorder throughout the world. Not that that's an excuse. We are always moving towards being better about it. In first world countries at least. The change is generational not instant, like anything.

    Racism is mostly split second assumptions people make about others, that is very hard to change

    Barkley is talking about racial discrimination on a personal level, not the institutionalized racism which remains the real problem in America. Minorities can certainly act on racial biases, but they cannot possibly commit institutionalized racism, being that they don't generally wield the power and influence necessary to do so. It's pretty disingenuous to attempt to conflate the two, but sadly it's a common tactic among the simple-minded and misinformed.
