Message Vs Comment

  since most folks don't know the difference and it's not intuitive:

  If you click message, it can only be seen by the person you are messaging. If you click comment, anyone can read it.

  So if you send someone a comment, anyone who looks at their profile can read it. If you want to keep it private, use message.
