  I think a better function would be c4 protection. For example, if a base had blast walls equipped, any c4 attempts on that base would result in the aggressor losing that c4. No upgrades on that base could be destroyed by c4.

  That is interesting. The drawback being someone could make almost invicible bases then.

  True, although they could still be capped, er.. "acquired".. If this suggestion happened, blast walls should be made very rare, too. More so than warehouses, as they would clearly be valuable upgrades.
